MA (Oxon), Barrister-at-law (Inner Temple)
Ian is link-global’s executive Chairman.
He was born in England where he was brought up in Coventry. He taught English before studying for a law degree at Corpus Christi College, Oxford; afterwards he did his professional training and was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in London.
In his legal career he specialised in medical negligence and criminal law. He was counsel for the West Midlands Regional Health Authority in Whitehouse v Jordan, the original leading case on medical negligence. On a number of occasions he acted as Chairman of committees enquiring into medical mishaps. He has been a lead author in legal research into child abuse.
From 1994 until his recent retirement he served as one of Her Majesty’s Circuit Judges at Worcester Crown and County Court. The Queen also appointed him to act as a Deputy High Court Judge and to be in charge of Family and Adoption cases for the area. His hobbies include writing poetry and walking. He has written the English lessons for link-global. He is currently working on a historical novel and a second book of poetry. He is also an inventor and a director of other companies.
He is very futuristic in his approach to new ideas and likes to be at the cutting edge of technology.

M.Sc. (Business Systems Analysis and Design) A.C.I.S. (Associate Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators). Irene was born in Hong Kong. She was the originator of ‘globalisation through language’ from which link-global.com has developed. The new methodology of the on-screen lesson is technologically innovative and has been achieved through her skills. We are fortunate to have her now as link-global’s full time Chief Executive. She is proud of her national culture and practises its emphasis on harmony and trust in both the business and private aspects of her life.
Before coming to the UK she was the Chief Accountant and Administrator for the internationally known Costain Construction Group in the Far East. She has been personally responsible for developing a computerised financial system for the Costain IT Centre. In this country she has attained high regard for her language, accountancy and excellent computer skills. Her hobbies include interests in English / Chinese cooking; gardening and Chinese painting. |
